KFARDEBIAN, LEBANON - IN PROGRESS 2024
The project is located on a small corner plot in the village of Kfardebian, in close proximity to the ski slopes. The site’s limited footprint and prominent position informed a compact yet expressive architectural approach. The project consists of six chalets of varying sizes, each reflecting the specific needs and lifestyles of its owners. Rather than treating the building as a single monolithic volume, the architectural concept is based on a vertical stacking of individual chalets. This strategy allows each unit to be clearly expressed as an independent dwelling while efficiently occupying the constrained plot. The stacked composition is articulated through distinct pitched roofs, reinforcing the identity of each chalet and echoing the traditional roofscape of the surrounding mountain architecture. Internally, each chalet is a triplex organized around a double-height reception space that creates a sense of openness while framing views toward the surrounding landscape and enhancing natural light penetration.
